Be Well Counseling Lotus

John P. Muldoon, PhD, LPC, CAC, ACS

Therapy is ideally a conversation where people are given the opportunity to share personal aspects of their lives. Successful therapy engages people and facilitates personal and professional growth and helps individuals to process their feelings and thoughts. In so doing, people create goals for therapy that may include recovery from addiction, better emotional and physical health, restoring healthy family and social relationships, managing anxiety, and encouraging them to make important changes in their lives. I facilitate the therapeutic process by sharing knowledge, establishing a connection, identifying core concerns, developing a plan of action, and working together to overcoming obstacles, finding coping skills, and attaining resolution to concerns that they initially brought.
