Types of Therapy
Individual Therapy
Also known as one-on-one or personal therapy, is a form of psychological treatment in which a person meets with a trained and licensed mental health professional in a confidential, supportive setting. Individual therapy aims to explore the individual’s thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in a safe environment, aiming to foster personal growth, overcome challenges, and improve mental well-being.
Family Therapy
Is a type of psychological counseling designed to help couples and family members improve communication, resolve conflicts, and better understand and support each other. It’s conducted by a licensed therapist or counselor trained to address family dynamics and help members work together to create positive change. Family therapy sessions typically involve multiple family members, though not every member has to attend every session.
Group Education Session
Is a form of education where a small group of individuals with similar challenges or goals meets regularly with a mental health professional to share experiences, offer support, and work toward personal growth. These sessions provide a structured, supportive setting where participants can connect, learn from others’ experiences, and practice new skills.
